The Restaurante Flutuante (Floating Restaurant) is one of the biggest attractions in Arraial do Cabo.  A plateau anchored on the middle of the bay over 500 meters from the Praia do Forno (Oven Beach).  Praia do Forno is famous for the voyage you go to get to the location and now it also has the spectacular Restaurante Flutuante off shore.

 To reach the restaurant, we took a “taxi boat” from the Praia dos Anjos (Angel Beach) wich can also take you to Praia do Forno.  This “taxi Boat” goes back and forth every 40 minutes giving you an opportunity to fully enjoy the absolute best osters I’ve have ever had. 

Next to the Restaurante Flutuante, you will see the “Marine Farms” where they grow osters, muscles and scallops.  So it is not only the freshness of my favorite shell fish is what makes them so delicious, but also the fact that they are home grown, cared for, observed and then served at it’s perfect peak.  When the the shell fish are ready to be served, they are transported in cages to an area underneath the restaurant where are collected as needed throughout the day.  This is the only place I’ve heard of that the osters, muscles and scallops go from the ocean directly to your plate.
